Fighting With Faith

You think it could never happen to you. Until you find a lump. And then everything changes.

This is my friend, Sarah. Her and her husband have a beautiful little girl and two foster children. They also pastor a growing church in Braydenton, FL.

She’s young. A healthy eater. And cancer doesn’t even run in her family. Yet tests came back positive. For the “C” word.

Just because you have Jesus doesn’t mean you’ve been handed a ticket to a worry free life. Christians still face larger than life situations. But here’s the kicker – we don’t face them alone.

There have only been a few times in my life I can say that God has allowed me to “feel” someone’s burden and carry it with them. Feel it to where I physically hurt. Where the tears come in such heavy down pours. When my heart feels like it’s been linked to theirs and I find myself begging God to intervene.
Now I am not rolling in the dough. We are not loaded. I wanted to help but wasn’t sure what I could do to make a drop in the ocean of funds it would take to make a difference.

When praying for a way to help my friend, God reminded me of this pretty cool resource He gave me last year. Real Mom Moments. And immediately I knew that this book project was way bigger than me. That God foreknew what Sarah would be facing and that help was already on the way. And that it would be a double whammy – helping Sarah fight cancer and help moms who would come together to help Sarah.

I pray that you’re able to help in some way. Whether you purchase a book for yourself to help fund Sarah’s treatment or whether you make it your mission to not only help her, but also find a few moms in your inner circle who could use some inspiration and purchase a hand full of books, every penny of the profit during the month of April will go to Sarah’s cancer treatment.

Sarah and I both thank you in advance for your support! Here’s to #fightingwithfaith !!

Please click the link at the top of the page titled “Real Mom Moments Book” to order your copies today! Or click here to go directly to the publisher’s website to order!

Please check out Sarah’s blog to follow her journey! She would love to connect with you!

Thank you for supporting this amazing young woman and her journey fighting with faith!

It ain’t over ’til God says it’s over.

It’s hard calling it “Good Friday.”  Because for what it appeared, it looked to be anything but good.  The Messiah flogged, beaten, spit upon, mocked and his tattered flesh brutally nailed to a wooden splinter-ridden cross.  Sounds more like #worstdayever

Ohhh honey… but I believe Jesus knew deep down, despite the physical agony, despite the vast array of emotions – despite it all, He knew that it was indeed a good Friday.

It was on this particular day, even though it started off on the wrong foot, that He accomplished more than He had accomplished in His life thus far.  Yes He had healed people, yes He performed miracles and brought many into the family of God.  However on this day, the curtain was torn in the temple giving us access to the Father anytime, any place.  He did what no one else could do and became the sacrifice for the sins of the world so that ALL could accept the gift of eternal life.  He took a three day hiatus to show the devil who was boss and that death had no power over Him.  Now them’s shouting words right there!  #itaintover

It ain't over

I don’t know what you’re facing today, but I know who holds you in the palm of His hands.  It may look like it’s anything but good right now, but just wait – Sunday is coming.  Life is coming.  Resurrection is coming!  It may appear that you’ve been forgotten, washed up and left mangled to pieces, but I know a man who has been there, done that and bought way more than a t-shirt to prove that it’s not the end.  It’s instead, part of the process.

We couldn’t have the triumph without the trial.  We couldn’t have the testimony without the test.

We have hope because He didn’t walk out when it got uncomfortable.  He didn’t throw in the towel and call for backup.  He endured what was before Him and proved we truly are overcomers through Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:37)

It may hurt right now and not make any sense, but there is always a purpose.  Always remember, what the enemy means for your harm, God can turn around for your good.  (Romans 8:28)

Happy Good Friday, y’all!  ❤  Just wanted to share my heart in a brief video.  I pray it encourages you like it did me!

(These videos always capture a still shot of the worst facial expressions! haha!)

No More Excuses

❤ Disclaimer: Pardon my scary no-makeup naked face and hear my heart. ❤

As a mom of 3 little ones under the age of 7, time fills up quickly. My middle child is up before the crack of dawn each day so that takes my morning devotion time most days. My oldest hates school during this season of her life so once she’s up, many mornings she’s consumed with worries about school from the time her feet hit the cold hardwood floor. Our youngest is 4 months and nursing about every 3 hours and keeping us busy. Between rushing through my morning, work, pumping on my breaks (nursing mom here..)cooking dinner, homework, baths… Oh wait, did I remember to brush their teeth? Hold up, have I even brushed MY teeth?

Girl, time is fleeting and we’re never going to be all that God has called us to be when we aren’t making the most of day He’s given us. We all have the same 24 hours. Are we making the most of it?

God really convicted me this morning. People make time for what’s important to them. If that’s getting your nails done and having your hair fixed, you’re going to make time for that. If it’s exercising in the morning before work so you feel better about yourself, you’ll get up earlier and make time. If it’s busting it at work to rush home to be at practice for each of the kids and have a hot meal cooked for your family, by the grace of God you’ll get it done.

Are we treating our relationship with God as a priority or does it get pushed to the back burner? “Oh, I’ll read my bible when… I’ll go to church when… I’ll pray when…”

I pray you’re encouraged and motivated like I was.  You are not the only one. We all have different schedules and things that buy for our time. Life slows down for no one. But we have to be careful to take every moment captive just like we’re told to take every though captive in 2 Corinthians 10:5 –

“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

So thankful for the moments God whispers wisdom to our parched souls.

Would love to know your thoughts. How do you make time for what’s important in your life? Do you keep a strict schedule?

Don’t Hide Your Gift <3

Since the beginning of time, God has been in the fixer upper business.

He doesn’t generally pick those in the front of the line.  He’s known for patiently waiting on those the world overlooks.  The rejected, despised, “too young,” “too old,” inexperienced newbies.  He takes the ones who are picked last in gym class and brings them front and center.

“But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.” 1 Corinthians 1:27

David was a smelly shepherd boy.  Sampson had a problem with women.  Moses was a murderer.  Rahab was a hooker.

You are I are no different.  We may not have a track record quite comparable to these celebrities of the biblical era, but I imagine you have a story too.  And it’s one that someone needs to hear.  But let me tell you, that can that be so intimidating.  Especially when we feel underqualified.  Undereducated.  Unprepared.  *insert additional “un” words here ____*

It’s easy to try to talk God out of His master plan when it feels so much bigger than us.  Heck, Moses did it.  God called him by speaking through a burning bush and Moses was quick to attempt convincing Him that He was better off choosing someone else to carry out the mass exodus of letting His people go.  God presented the plan while Moses crumbled under pressure.

gods plan

Have you been there?  I have.

Can I be real with you?  You are not a carbon copy.  There has never been anyone quite like you.  You are uniquely created to carry out a divine purpose.  And God has something specific in mind for you to accomplish during your lifetime that only you can do.  You have world-changing power living inside of you.  Don’t hide your gift.

I didn’t grow up thinking I would ever be capable of being a women’s speaker.  (I still don’t think I’m capable.  lol)  Or blogger for that matter.  Or an author.  But God has a way of weaving desires and purpose into our lives long before we were formed in our mother’s womb.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5

You have been set apart to fulfill a specific purpose.  No one else can do what God has called you to do.  Your calling won’t look identical to anyone else’s and comparing will only breed jealousy and discontentment.  And a date with a big tub of ice cream and box of tissues.

It’s scary stepping out in faith.  But sometimes the only way to reach Jesus and His divine plan for our life is to meet Him in the deep waters.  Ask Peter.  The waves and wind created fear and havoc around him, yet he stepped out of the boat and walked out to meet His Savior.  (How awesome would that have been to have Instagram back then?  #selfieSunday #walkingonwater #jesusfreakingrocks )

What’s holding you back?  Are you afraid of failure?  Expectations from others weighing you down?  I promise you, there is no greater joy than fulfilling God’s calling on your life.  Is it scary?  Yes!  Will you fall flat on your face sometimes?  Definitely.  But the amazing thing is that God isn’t calling for perfection – He’s calling for obedience.

I’ve been back and forth about whether or not to share this video, but I feel like someone needs to see this.  Below is a clip from one of my first speaking engagements.  I’m no pro, by any means.  lol  But I have been learning to simply say “yes” to God and trust Him in the unknown.  If you’re encouraged, please feel free to share.  ❤

Don’t let fear overcome you and hold you back from walking into your Promised Land.  The children of Israel made that detrimental mistake and it took them 40 years to make a 14 day journey.

When He calls you to walk on the water, remember who created those waters in the first place.

“Unforgettable” Women’s Conference Message (Click link to watch my message from “Unforgettable” Women’s Conference!)

Stop comparing yourself to everyone else.  You are unforgettable.  You are amazing.  And you have a gift that can change the world.

Ordinary, Average Joe

Don’t let the enemy or anyone else convince you that you’re not good enough, educated enough or seasoned enough.
There are so many negative, life sucking labels we carry.   Whether they have been placed by ourselves or someone else – it’s time they’re removed.  God didn’t call perfect people – He is calling broken, imperfect followers.

Peter and John were regular, ordinary, average Joe’s. Yet Jesus called them to be His closest friends and witness the extraordinary. God isn’t calling people who have it all together. The bible says he came to help those in need and restore them and send them out into the world to share the gospel.

He’s calling YOU. He’s calling ME. He’s calling US. The average, ordinary,  simple, underweight, overweight, unloved, excluded, loser, failure, stupid, uneducated, underpaid, divorced, single, widow, abused, rejected, hated, abandoned, lost…

He has called us to be with Him. And oh baby, when we’re with Him people see His glory on us. They see His light in our eyes. He bible says that Moses glowed when he came back down the mountain from being in God’s presence. That charges me up, y’all!
Spend time in His presence today.  Soak up His presence.  And lay down all those labels.  God can and will use you to do great and mighty things for the kingdom – if you’ll let Him.
Share with someone and encourage each other today to get in His presence and shine bright for Him! The world desperately needs to experience Him!

Walk YOUR walk.

Maybe it’s a woman thing.  Heck, maybe it’s a ME thing.  But one thing I know is this – comparison stinks.

There will always be someone more successful.  Someone prettier.  Someone who seems more qualified.  There’s always going to be someone to compare ourselves to.  To compare our dreams to.

But the great thing is, God hasn’t called the pretty ones to do my job.  And He hasn’t called me to do theirs either.

He’s called me to walk MY walk with everything within me.

Do you struggle with comparison?  { Quietly raises hand while hiding behind the glow of the computer screen.. }

You are you-niquely created with talents that desperately need to be on display to further the kingdom of God.

We can’t do this thing well when we’re so caught up in what he’s doing and what she’s accomplishing.  How many followers they have on Twitter and Instagram and how many shares and retweets their posts have.

God.  Made.  You.  YOU.

You are special.  You are one of a kind.  You are the apple of His eye.  You are amazing.

walk YOUR walk

God hasn’t called you to walk somebody’s else’s walk.

I’ve had several conversations with some blogging friends this past week about this exact thing.  It’s easy to feel like you’re not good enough and like you don’t have what it takes when you compare your walk to someone else’s.  God created us all so differently.  We’re all gifted in various ways, none quite the same.

Maybe you have a gifting with words.  Maybe you’re stellar creative.  Maybe it’s organizational skills. { I’m definitely not in this category. }  Teaching kids.  Nursing in ICU.  Working in the justice system.  School bus driver.

My hubby is a full time nurse and pastor.  He catches on quickly in the medical field and is amazing when you put a mic in his hand in front of a crowd.   On the other hand, I am a stay-at-home-mom, multitasking wife and blogger who wears a ka-jillion hats like a super ninja.  His giftings are different from mine.  Mine are different from his. We couldn’t possibly switch places and expect to have the same results on those around us.

God hasn’t called you to walk somebody else’s walk.

God prepares us for the journey ahead of us.  He has placed within us what it takes to complete our mission.  We just have to trust Him.  Be faithful in the hallway before He opens that next door.  He knows where to find you.

Passionately walk the walk He has destined you for.  Wife, mom, daughter, son, teacher, lawyer, cashier, small business owner.. He will give you the desires of your heart and reward your faithfulness.   Besides, He’s the one who put those desires  there in the first place.

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.” Psalm 139:13-16

Can I be real with you?  You will never write like her.  You will never sing like him.  Your house will never be spotless like theirs.  The quicker you accept this reality, the quicker you can release that deep breath you’ve been holding in for so long.  God isn’t asking for perfection, babe, He’s asking for a willing vessel.  Keep doing that thing you’ve been prewired to do.  That thing that brings you joy and others hope.

Be real.  Be bold.  Be.. YOU.  God loves you, beautiful.  He loves your humility and understands your desire to reach more, help more and love more.  But until more comes, be more where you are.  Be the best you that you can be!  And understand that it really is enough.  Be content with who you are, the gifts God has given you and where He has you right now.

What about you?  Have you struggled with comparision?  Overcome it?  I’d love to hear from you!  Please feel free to share your heart below or here on my Facebook page

Big Dreamin’ – How God can turn a “hot mess” into a beautiful message. <3

I’m a hot mess. Even on my better days. But you know what makes me happy all over? The fact that God looks past OUR best and focuses on HIS best for us. He sees our full potential when we are struggling to see even a small part of the puzzle.

I don’t remember my dreams. Seriously guys, they’re usually the result of eating some weird combination of junk food before bed. So they’re totally random or I don’t remember them.

Not these dreams though. These have been more like visions. I’ve only experienced 4 of them, but I will never forget them. They were so vivid and detailed.  You need to know up front that my life verse is Jeremiah 29:11.  “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  God knew the plan long before you were planned.

Here’s an inside look:

Dream 1 – I was standing on stage. Tons of people in the audience. Lights glaring. But it was black and white and muted. Kinda odd, huh? I thought so too. I wrote it off. I’m a youth pastor’s wife. I was probably just announcing a speaker or praise team. Back to sleep..

Dream 2 – Full color, extremely detailed. I saw my outfit down to the jewelry and shoes I was sporting on stage. I was speaking. I. Was. Speaking. Oh my Lord, you’ve got the wrong girl. There’s no way that will ever be me. Can I wake up now??

Dream 3 – Ok, I’m sensing a pattern here. Full color, fully detailed, me speaking. Again. I was on stage. I had the mic. Me. I wasn’t announcing anyone. I was the speaker. Ok God, are you saying you want ME to speak for you? Are you sure you’ve got the right person? Have you prayed about this, Lord?

Dream 4 – This was the most recent and most detailed. I was laying in bed with the kids silently praying about our upcoming woman’s conference. God, what is the message you want shared? Who do you want to be involved? You know how sometimes you pray and pray and pray some more and wait a while to hear God’s answer? Not this time. It was instant. Yes. Instant. He gave me the theme and a few pieces of the puzzle. It was almost like an out of body experience (don’t get all weird on me.) There I was, pacing back and forth at church with the mic firmly gripped in my hand. Passionately proclaiming the Word of God. Oooook God, I hear you. Loud and clear. I’ll stop being stubborn. I’ll do this for you, even if it means doing it afraid.

Has God given you a dream? A plan? An idea that you just can’t shake?

Could it be that it’s His perfect plan for your life?

Fast forward. Present time. February 11th, 10:49am, 55 degrees, Trenton, FL. I just got off the phone with a woman who believes God has a divine plan for my life. And what’s crazy? She’s asked me to speak at her woman’s conference.

Fear Not

What’s the topic, you ask? FEAR. Yep. Fear. F-E-A-R. The thing that’s been holding me back. I’ve been afraid to step out. For various reasons, really. My past, my failures, my age..

God is up to something. And if we will step out of our fear and exercise our faith – beautiful things happen.

A woman was healed from a 12-year blood disease in an instant because she stepped beyond fear and grabbed the hem of Jesus’ clothes by faith. A man was healed because his friends weren’t afraid to tear the roof off the place where The Healer was teaching and lower their friend in faith to reach Him. The sun stood still for man named Joshua because he wasn’t afraid a to pray an impossible looking prayer of faith to a God who answered him.

If we want to see God move in a mighty way, we can’t let fear paralyze us. Faith stomps on fear. Faith eats fear for lunch.

And faith causes us to say “Yes, Lord” when someone asks us to share our story at a woman’s conference. About fear. Ohh yes, baby, yes. Only God can do these things. ❤

I’m so humbled, y’all. I’m just a small town girl who serves a big God. A 26-year-old who is ready to leave the past – the ugly, jagged past – behind her and step out in faith. As scary and messy as it looks, I refuse to let fear hold me back. I nailed that to the cross at the last conference.

Saying “yes” when it’s scary precedes big victories in the kingdom of God. Ask Rahab. Moses. Peter. Paul.

Ask Jesus.

All I can say is, GET READY! God is up to something and He wants to use YOU to reach people. Right where you are, right where you’ve been. He wants to turn your mess into a message. Because who knows this place like you do? You’re familiar with the struggles, fears and doubts. God wants to use you, beautiful. He really, really wants to use – y.o.u.

Can we place our faith in the hands of The Potter? Let’s do this together.

Have you stepped out in faith? I’d love to hear your story!

❤ Brittany

How will this be?

You know how us women are. We’re about as good at thinking about things as we are at talking about them. We over think things. We think up one side and down the other. And then we think it through some more.

I’ve been thinking. And tonight my mind has wandered to Mary. Could you imagine the shock factor of an angel appearing to her and announcing her soon to be pregnancy? That she has favor with The Lord and He is going to send His Son Jesus into her womb to bake for 9 months, then be the Savior of the world. W.O.W. #mindblown

Photo Credit – The Bible Series

Take a moment to dig into Luke 1:26-38. Her question to the angel makes me smile. “How will this be?” Isn’t that just like a woman? We hear the details, but we need all that extra juicy info. I love her.

Imagine with me those next few months. I imagine she had a lot of time to think. I believe she probably doubted herself. “Why me, Lord? Are you sure you picked the right girl?”

I think she had to have been pretty stoked too. “I can’t believe this! God chose me of all women to carry His Son?!”

I imagine there had to have been some fearful moments. Some astonished tears of joy when she felt those first few kicks from this living, breathing plan of God growing inside of her.

There’s nothing like watching the plan of God unfold in your life. There’s so many emotions. Such excitement! So overwhelming. But here was this young girl who had never been with a man who was about to be an incredibly big part of an amazing plan of redemption.

That’s a lot to think about.

angel and shepherds

When the shepherds finally caught their breath and shared what the angels had told to them in the nearby fields, Mary got to thinking again. Everyone was amazed at the shepherds’ experience with the angels, but Mary treasured these things and pondered them in her heart (Luke 2:19).

How will this be?

A short time later, Jesus was to be presented in the temple. Simeon, a righteous and devout man, was filled with the Holy Spirit and shared with Mary and Joseph how his life was complete now laying His eyes on Jesus. He shared many things that were revealed to him, leaving them once again marveled. (Luke 2:21-35)

How will this be?

Fast forward 12 years later as the family of Jesus packs their bags, leaves the Feast of Passover and heads home, totally unaware their Son is missing.

You know, the drill. “Oh, aunt Rachel has him. No, uncle John took him. No, he went with cousin Anna….” Then sheer panic sets in and everyone is tearing the place apart to find the kid now hiding in the clothes racks.

In case you needed a reminder.. #thestruggleisreal

In case you needed a reminder.. #thestruggleisreal

After a 3 day search, they found him in the temple in Jerusalem sitting among teachers. Listening. Asking them questions. Mary replays the scene in her mind again. And again, she treasured all these things in her heart. (Like 2:41-51)

Did Mary know? Did she know all the things her Son would grow in The Lord and do? Did she fully comprehend the magnitude of what the angel of The Lord was telling her? Did she know the child she nursed and rocked to sleep would be the One to deliver and redeem the world?

We could sit and discuss this for hours. Mary, Did You Know is one of my absolute favorite Christmas songs. Partly because as a woman and a mom, I wonder those things. I wonder if she knew about the road ahead of her.

Her question to the angel comes alive for me, because I too have asked the same question. Sooooo many times.  Maybe, just maybe.. You’ve asked the same thing too.

How will this be?

God had placed such an incredible, one-of-a-kind plan within her. One that only birth could release.

And He has done the same thing in our lives. Jeremiah 29:11 says He has a plan and purpose for our life. It says in Jeremiah 1:5 that before He formed us in our mother’s womb, He knew us.

The blueprint is already there. The plans have been drawn out. The question is – will we sit idly by waiting for the rest of the picture to surface or will we proceed with what we DO know?

Mary had an option. To either worry herself ragged with all the pieces that didn’t quite fit yet, or walk by faith trusting the Great I Am who carefully held it all together.

Time is short, my sweet friend. We need to make the most of it. This Christmas season, my prayer is that you walk boldly into the unknown. Trust God with everything within you and do what He had called you to do.

It doesn’t mean you’re going to hear an audible voice saying, “BEHOLD! Go now.. Your destiny awaits you!” Wouldn’t that be nice. But that wouldn’t require much faith now, would it?

But if you are grounding yourself in the Word of God and spending time regularly in prayer, you will feel the Holy Spirit leading you. He will reveal it to you as the time is right. Little by little. And baby, treasure up all these things in your heart.

So before you ask, “How will this be?” Trust in The Lord and wait and see! Great things are coming!

I want to leave you with this awesome video today.  I can hardly contain myself watching this.  Be blessed this week!

Operation: FINISH! <3

I’m so great at starting things. Really, I am.

Starting to make these super cute scarves. Starting to clean my kitchen. Starting to make a grocery list. And half the time, if I’m being totally honest – I’m not always the best with the follow through. I have to keep reminding myself to stay focused. And I usually lose the post-it notes that are supposed to keep me on track. #thestruggleisreal

But there is one thing I have let really, REALLY slide to the back burner. My Book.

my book

God put the dream in my heart to write it. He allowed me to attend a completely mind blowing writer and speaker’s conference over the summer and I was able to meet with some publishers and hand over my baby { A.K.A. My Book Proposal ❤ }. I was super stoked and ready to rock and roll. And then I came back home, got busy, moved and have let it sit for months in our home office.

So here sits this dream, lying dormant on the shelf. Because I’m afraid to finish it. Why, you ask? Because no one is knocking down my door begging to publish this thing.

God really dealt with me on this subject the other day. He took me back to when we desperately needed a second vehicle. We had moved 700+ miles to the sunny state of Florida, sold our car because we thought Gary had landed a 3rd shift job and we would be fine with just our van. And then life happened and things changed.

There we were in need. Again. But this time, God stirred something in my heart. Thank me in advance. I felt His voice reassuring me. And thus began my morning shower routine of thanking God for a second vehicle we didn’t have.

My prayer went something like this each morning: Thank you so much, God, for providing a vehicle! I thank you so much for knowing our needs and meeting them! God, is it too much to ask that you soften someone’s heart to GIVE us a car? Just something to get Gary to work.. I thank you for providing..

After a few weeks, a couple from church approached my husband and told them they wanted to…..GIVE….. us a car. Yes. Give us a car. My jaw dropped when I got the phone call and the waterworks instantly wet my face.

This was such a mega leap forward in my faith! Yet, a year and a half later, I’ve somehow forgotten God’s provision.

So here I sit, typing away. Pouring my heart out page after page. Pulling out favorite quotes from each devotion and putting them with pictures I’ve taken over the years. In faith.

One of the images I've been working on..

One of the images I’ve been working on..

Hebrews 11:1 defines faith as the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

The substance of things hoped for. The evidence of things not yet seen. Sometimes you have to walk in faith until your flesh catches up. And that’s exactly why I’m lacing up my tennis shoes. It’s time to do this thing.

Will you join me in praying over this project? I know this will bless other moms who are struggling to see beauty in the chaos and I want to do everything I can to get this in their hands.

We do not walk alone! We are all in this together! The sooner we realize that, the sooner we will see breakthroughs from this false reality that no one else could have a clue what we’re going through. Show up unannounced at 4pm and honey you will see that most moms have 1) very little sleep, 2) sticky, messy kitchens, 3) loud kids, 4) and smudgy hand prints all over ever glass surface in the entire house. And that’s just the short list.

And another.. It only took about 8x to get this one <3 lol

And another.. It only took about 8x to get this one

Are you breathing?

If you’re reading this right now it means several things.

1 – You’re breathing. {Thank you, Captain Obvious.}

2 – Your heart is beating. {Captain Obvious strikes again.}

3 – You’re searching for something. {Pics of a friend’s newborn baby, keeping up with family that lives in another state, encouragement from a ministry you follow, something to make you laugh.. Searching..}

And last but not least,

4 – You are a living, breathing part of God’s plan TODAY. {*taps mic* Is this thing on? }

There is a reason God allowed your eyes to open this morning when that dreaded alarm clock buzzed you right out of those warm, cozy blankets.

I don’t know who this is for this morning, but God isn’t finished with you yet. You may feel washed up, inadequate, used, frustrated, and completely poured out.

Go back to your knees, beautiful. That’s the ultimate source of our strength.

His strength is made perfect in our weakness. If we never experienced moments of weakness, we may never realize our desperate need of a Savior.

When you feel less than enough, Jesus Christ is more than enough. And He has a pretty amazing plan for your life. Don’t miss it!

Whoever you are today, wherever you find yourself, rest in this precious scripture.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

God’s not dead, y’all. And until you take your last breath, He isn’t finished with you. Embrace those moments of weakness and realize your need for a God who loves you. {Here’s a secret – Shhhh… He even loves walking with you through your mess.}

Do you feel discouraged today? I’d love to pray with you!
