I’m praying that each of you have a few quiet moments to reflect on this past year. My peaceful moments began once all my sweet babies were snuggled into bed. And boy, did the tears start gushing.
I replayed some major moments in my life this past year and couldn’t help but cry those warm, happy crocodile tears. God supernaturally providing for me to attend She Speaks 2014.. God’s divine connections with people along life’s journey.. Writing twice for a local Christian newspaper.. Living the dream of being a Pastor’s wife {a promise God gave me as a small child}.. And that’s just the Cliff Notes version. 😉
God. Is. So. Good.
Reflect on the goodness of God, His mercies that are new each morning, the trials He has helped us to preserve through, the joy of our salvation, the present of His presence, His unending, unrelenting, overwhelming passionate pursuit of our hearts, the hope He has given us when all felt lost and hopeless, the repentant heart of a lost loved one, restoration of relationships..
God. Is. SOOOOOO. Good.
2014 may have been a stellar year for you. Maybe it was filled with endless hardships you didn’t see coming.
Whatever the case may be, God is still on the throne and He is still capable! He’s capable of healing the sick, mending the broken and setting the captive free! Nothing is too small or too great for God!
Rest assured, 2014 is nearing it’s end, but God has treasures waiting to be sought out in 2015! He has good things in store for you. He has new mercies, new beginnings and open doors waiting to be walked through.

Don’t let the past weigh you down. There’s a reason the rear view mirror is smaller than the front windshield. Focus on what lies before you instead of what’s behind you. {You definitely want to check out Isiah 43:18-19.}. Walk freely into this new year ready to do great things for the Kingdom of God! Give Him your best and He will do the rest!
Granted, you may have to step out of your comfort zone, but so did Peter when he stepped out of the boat. You’re in good company, babe.
Repeat after me – fear will not hold me captive anymore. I want what God has for me!
Here’s to the start of an amazing year!
Before you scoot out of here, I’d love to hear what God is doing in your life! What will you remember the most about 2014? What are you looking forward to the most this upcoming year? Do you set resolutions?
